Color in the interior

How comfortable the situation in the house will be depends largely on the competent selection of the color palette. The proven, beyond doubt, fact is the influence of color on a person in the interior. This or that shade promotes rest or sets up for active activity, surrounds with comfort or excites. Knowledge of color features helps to arrange the interior in an optimal color scheme. Sunlight reflected from the surface is perceived by the human eye as a color. Light rays with different characteristics (wavelength) carry different information, and the brain reacts to it in different ways. It is not surprising that the contemplation of different colors leads to the appearance of different emotions. People's emotional reactions may differ, but the main colors of the spectrum cause similar sensations (affect the same way). Therefore, choosing a color for the interior is an important task that cannot be solved by focusing only on fashion. Not only the mood, but also the well-being of the inhabitants of the dwelling depends on how well the color combinations are chosen. All colors available to the human eye are clearly represented in the form of a color circle. In most aesthetic concepts, colors are divided into warm and cold. The first includes red, orange, yellow and intermediate variants, the second — tones from blue to green.

It is known from physiology that warm colors have a tonic effect: they increase performance and are invigorating, like coffee in the morning. Bright colors from the series of eyes are more invigorating, but very quickly begin to depress the nervous system, and are not suitable for the psyche of most people.

Cold colors in the interior cause the opposite, calming effect. They help to keep working longer, as well as relieve tension, adjust to a calming mood. Knowledge of these features helps to choose the optimal color scheme.

White. In a strict sense, white is not a color, but the absence of all the colors of the spectrum. Its main purpose in most interiors is to serve as a basis, as it is combined with the entire palette. White is associated with spirituality; gives a feeling of freedom and peace, energizes. Black.Due to the peculiarities of perception, many underestimate it, believing that black (in physics - the absence of light) suppresses the psyche and can cause melancholy and even depression. But it is often used for accents; and many consider it a sign of a business environment or luxury. Black is an intriguing option that perfectly complements the decor in most styles and allows you to adjust the size of the room. Red.In consciousness, there is a clear connection of red with energy and an active lifestyle, and subconsciously it is associated with aggression and blood. In the interior, red is used quite carefully, with an eye to the purpose of the room and the psychological makeup of people. It increases blood circulation, which makes it seem that it is always warmer in a room with red trim. It increases appetite, so in large doses it works well in the kitchen or in the dining room, but is contraindicated in the bedroom. So that the bright shade does not tire the eye and does not irritate, it is often used dosed — furniture upholstery, lampshade, dishes. Orange.Orange, the neighbor of red, lifts the mood, invigorates and makes you want to communicate. It is also known for its ability to energize, increase appetite and strengthen the will, although this action is milder. If you want to understand how the interior affects a person, dilute the cold range of the living room or bedroom with an orange shade. The room will become more cheerful, and cold tones will acquire an expressiveness pleasing to the eye. Yellow.A good choice in many cases, as it has a positive effect on mental health, tones up and improves concentration. Yellow (including shades: cream, beige) color creates a cozy atmosphere, but some people get tired of a lot of yellow, which seems annoying to them.As an additional, yellow shades are always desirable in the decoration of the kitchen or children's room. It is also the preferred option for a room with a lack of natural light. Green. It is associated with nature, at the same time relaxes and refreshes, promotes rapprochement. It looks good in combinations with many other colors, makes them softer. Green is often made the base for the bedroom, living room and study, but in the nursery it is found, as a rule, as an accent. Shades of green affect the nervous system in different ways, and this must be taken into account. Dark tones can cause depression and loss of strength, and an excess of green can cause boredom and drowsiness.

Blue.Like green, it has a connection to nature, but it is perceived differently. Its ability to visually push the boundaries of space is known, so it is suitable for decorating small rooms. The blue color relaxes and lowers blood pressure, which makes the blue interior seem cooler - a suitable property for the living room and bedroom. Blue.Like all cold colors, blue soothes and visually enlarges the room. The room, in the decoration of which there is a blue color, looks both strict and refined. Light variations of blue are suitable for finishing the bedroom, bathroom, nursery. Dark blue .sets you up for productive work, and therefore is successfully used in the decor of the office. In some styles (classic, modern), blue is often used as a base. Purple. (lilac)

Mystical, majestic and luxurious is called lilac color in the interior; the influence on a person of this shade is multifaceted. In the color circle, purple is formed at the junction of warm red and cold blue, which indicates its internal inconsistency.
